Temoc Suarez will serve as the Director of Education.  Joining Temoc, will be Kevin Roberts as the Academy Director.  Coach Roberts comes to JIYSC with over 11 years of playing and coaching experience in America, Europe and the Caribbean.  He also holds eight coaching certifications and four membership affiliations.

Serving as the Technical Director for Select soccer at JIYSC will be Enrique Rodriguez.  Coach Rodriguez is currrently the Assistant Soccer Coach at the Citadel, and holds several youth and adult certifications.  Prior to arriving in Charleston, Rodriguez coached the Kendall Soccer Coalition (Miami, FL) as a state finalist in the 2008 President’s Cup, as well as guiding various finals and semi-finals teams between 2004 to 2008.

"An Academy team for the U9 through U12 age groups is a natural progression for the developing players at JIYSC," added Temoc Suarez.  "You can see the dedication paying off already, with the individual growth and maturity of the players, and in the bigger picture, the performance of the James Island teams in league and tournament play."

Suarez continued, "Although this season will introduce a new Academy program and increased focus on the Select teams, continued emphasis with our Micro and Recreational players will be paramount to the future of the Club.  To that end, Suarez will continue with weekly training for the U5 to U8 teams, and add goalkeeper instruction for the first time to all Recreation teams."
