Micro Soccer Program
Ages: 4 to 7 (U5 - U8)
Fees: $70

The Micro Soccer program provides educational and developmental training for our youngest players, age’s 4-8 boys and girls. The rules for micro-soccer emphasize basic skills while having lots of fun. The concept behind micro-soccer is to allow more touches on the ball by having small teams playing on small fields. This is an in-house program run entirely at JIYSC.


Recreation Soccer Program
Ages: 8 to 18 (U9 - U18)
Fees: $100

Designed to provide Fun and active training, provided by professional trainers in group, team, and individual formats. Teams are coached by volunteer coaches, and participate in our coordinated training program. The goal of this program is to teach the FUNdamentals of soccer, develop individual and team skill, as well as prepare our players for league play, competing against teams from other clubs in the low country. JIYSC recreational teams play in both the Lower State Youth Soccer Association (LSYSA) or the Sandlapper League, competing against teams from other clubs.


Academy Soccer Program
Ages:  8 to 11 (U9 - U12)
Fees:  $410 per season

The Academy Soccer program is an extension of the Recreation Program, adding an additional day of training/instruction and an experienced coach (having played/coached at the collegiate or post-collegiate levels).


Select Soccer Program
Ages: 12 to 18 (U13 - U18)
Fees: $485

Select teams for players that show an aptitude and desire to play at a more competitive level. The development of select players focuses on the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of the game in a fun and competitive environment. Teams in the select program are coached by professional coaches and are selected through a tryout system, which are held in May. JIYSC fields Classic, Challenge and Premier level teams in the state’s Presidents Medal Soccer League (PMSL), the South Carolina State Challenge League (SCSCL) and in Region III Premier League.

You should only be registering for a Select team (Classic or Challenge) if you were selected at tryouts or were directed to by JIYSC staff.

What else should you know:

• Evaluations and tryouts will run from 5:30pm to 7:00pm

• Players will be required to wear soccer shoes, shin guards and have a bottle of water (other equipment will be provided)

• There is no cost for evaluations or tryouts

• Both evaluations and tryouts will be held at the JIYSC Main Complex, Field A (871 Ft. Johnson Road)

• All players are invited to attend their respective age group evaluations and tryouts, as well as, encouraged to attend all sessions held within their respective age group
